I am a 2009 graduate of East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. I have a B.S.S. in Social Science with a minor in Secondary Education. I graduated again with a Master's in Sport Management, back at East Tennessee State, in May of 2016. This is my 7th year at Edgemont, and 9th year as a teacher overall. Before Edgemont I taught two years of Economics, Government, and Psychology at Gallatin High School in Gallatin, TN. While at Gallatin I coached baseball as well as assisted with the Scholar's Bowl/Academic Team. This past summer I worked for the Coastal Plain League as an operations and sponsorship intern. The summer of 2016 I worked for the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge as an operations assistant. During the summer of 2015, I worked for the Morehead City Marlins, of the Coastal Plain League,as the director of Baseball Operations/Equipment Operations Manager Morehead City, NC.
I love Edgemont, and am proud to be teaching at the school that I attended. I am also entering my 7th year as the assistant baseball coach at Cocke County High School. The picture to the left is one of my favorite pictures from coaching. It was senior night of the 2017 season and Senior Jeremy Hensley (#4) hit a walk off single to win it. |
